A gorgeous sleeveless gown with scoop neck and lace accents by Jim Hjelm is complimented by a moss green gathered v-neckline bridesmaid dress by Jim Hjelm Occasions. Long before the vows were exchanged, the guests received beautiful invitations with hand tied green bows. On the day, the groomsmen's ties are a beautiful green to match the bridesmaids' dresses. The tables are decorated with delicately embroidered peach coloured linens and are accented by centerpieces of peach, pink, and ivory roses that match the bride's bouquet. The guests sip on peach flavoured drinks as the wait for their slice of the cake that is decorated with a beautiful cascade of green, peach, and pink.

Floral Friday - Green, Peach, & Pink

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping in for another installment of Floral Friday!
This whole week we have been looking at a Green, Peach, and Pink colour scheme and I'm pretty excited because that makes for really beautiful flower options. There are SO MANY different flowers that you could use for the colour pink that you are absolutely garaunteed to find something to match the shade that your looking for. For peach, flowers like asters, irises, and dahlias are wonderful for a more fun look, but peach coloured roses are a great elegant flower. Lets take a look at some great options for inspiration.
Enjoy!

Table Top Tuesday - Green, Peach, & Pink

Hello everyone and welcome back for another Table Top Tuesday!
Today we'll be looking at one of my favourite colour combinations - Green and peach with accents of pink. It may sound a bit out there to some of you, but it really does make a pretty palette. Now, personally I've used the darker green colour as the main colour with the peach as a secondary colour and the pink as an accent. However, this colour combination can work any way that you want and still look really pretty. Let's take a look at some examples of how this can work for your wedding!
Enjoy!

Table Settings:

Peach is a great colour to use for your linens. It's soft and elegant and when accented with pink and peach coloured flowers it's truly to die for.

If you want to keep one or more of the colours to be used for simple accenting that's fine, too! You'll see on the left that most of the linens are pinks and on the right the table setting consists of only greens and peachy oranges.

Don't be afraid to also use another colour, like white, if you feel that your colours are becoming too overwhelming.

Desserts:

Who says that wedding desserts have to be all about cake? Why not try a nice peach mousse as a delicious alternative?

Delicious looking cupcakes with peach coloured icing are a nice way to match your desserts to your colour palette. (Cupcakes on right by SugarBloom Cupcakes)

Why not try peach, in the literal sense? Opting for fruit to decorate your cake is a great way to tie your wedding in with the summer season.

These cakes are mostly decorated with pink and peach coloured flowers, but see below for some great green additions.

What to Wear Wednesday - Ivory Edition

Hello all and welcome to another installment of What to Wear Wednesday!
This whole week is about Ivory colour schemes so I bet you can guess what colour will be the focus today! Ivory is soft and elegant; truly beautiful in a monochromatic colour scheme. However, if you are looking to stick to a polychromatic colour scheme I would recommend colours that really compliment the beauty of ivory. Lighter colours lfor your bridesmaids like petal pink, coral, soft blue, and peach are perfect. Pale yellows are great but some shades can be quite close to ivory. If you do choose a pale yellow against your ivory be sure that it is dark enough or bright enough to contrast so that your bridesmaids don't simply blend into the background.
If you choose to use ivory, you want to be sure that you, the bride, are dressed in ivory. If you make the mistake of wearing white instead of ivory but use ivory for table settings, bridesmaids, and/or decorations, everything will simply look "dirty" because of the contrast.
Remember: ivory isn't always for everyone. If you are unhappy with how ivory looks on you or your skin tone, it would definitely be better to consider other colour options for your wedding, rather than have your wedding appear "dirty." If you are set on using ivory, another option is to wear a white dress that is accented with ivory, wether it be beading, embroidery, or a sash.
Let's take a look at some great examples of what to wear for ivory weddings. Enjoy!
