A romanitc wedding dress with sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and full tulle skirt by Christina Wu is accented by a dramatic blue bridesmaid dress from Love by Enzoani. The invitations that the guests receive are a shade of blue to match the ceremony programs, seating cards, and menus. The ceremony chairs and reception tables are decorated with burgundy linens and offset by neutral white for a beautiful effect. The flowers are all about romance and feature calla lilies and orchids in breathtaking shades of burgundy and purple. The guests indulge in delicious red velvet cupcakes that are topped with roses in all shades of purple. Everyone is sent home with a token of the couple's appreciation wrapped up in a sweet little boxed and hand-tied with a dark blue ribbon.

{It's All About the Accessories...}
There will definitely "oohs" and "aahs" from the crowd as you walk down the aisle in this black birdcage veil with dark blue flower.

I firmly believe that white and ivory shoes on brides is outdated! Have fun on your day with shoes to match your colour palette, like these purple and dark blue heels.
These sweet little earrings are not only the perfect lovely shade of burgundy but they also make perfect little gifts for your bridesmaids!

{Floral Friday} Dark Blue, Burgundy, & Purple Wedding

Good morning readers! Since my last few {Floral Friday} posts have been late (or non existant) I decided to get an early morning jump on it! Thanks for stopping in to check it out!
All of this week we have been looking at a Dark Blue, Burgundy, & Purple colour palette for your wedding. This romantic palette really makes for some beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and floral arrangements. As usual, today's inspirations are GORGEOUS, so I'll do my best to let the flowers do the talking! Let's take a look at some great inspirations!

{Decorations & Centerpieces}

{Bouquets}
As I've been saying this whole week, be careful if you are choosing to use blue in your flowers and bouquets. Not many blue flowers come in lovely dark shades, so choosing blue can really limit your choices. Instead opt for using blue flowers simply as an accent or opt for other dark blue accents like berries and ribbon.

{Boutonnieres}

Tomorrow, you are invited to a Weekend Wedding in Dark Blue, Burgundy, & Purple! Also, be sure to case your vote for the next week's colour palette before it's too late!

{What to Wear Wednesday} Dark Blue, Burgundy, & Purple Wedding

Good evening readers and thanks for coming back for another edition of {What to Wear Wednesday}!
This week is all about a Dark Blue, Burgundy, & Purple palette. As I've been saying, this palette exudes romance, so remember that when choosing your fashions. Let's take a look at some great inspirations.

{Wedding Dresses}
For this colour palette, you could really go either a white or an ivory dress. You could even go with a rum pink and it would still look fabulous with the colour palette. You just want to remember that you want your dress to scream romance. So, this means that you may want to opt for a dress with a fuller skirt, layers and layers of tulle, pick-ups, and tons of beading or embroidery!

{Bridesmaids Dresses}
Any of these colours are beautiful for your girls' dresses! However, using blue dresses for your girls means that you have bountiful purple and burgundy options for your flowers and accents! All of these colours are fairly flattering so they will not be able to thank you enough for dresses that they will want to wear again and again!

{Table Top Tuesday} Dark Blue, Burgundy, & Purple Wedding

Good afternoon readers and welcome back for the first Table Top Tuesday of December!
This week we will be looking at a colour palette of Dark Blue with different shades of purple like burgundy, magenta, and maroon. This colour palette is subtly romantic and is a beautiful palette for the winter months. Let's take a look at some inspirations!

{Decorations & Table Settings}
As we all know, deciding to use blue flowers really puts limitations on your flowers. So, I would recommend using the shade of dark blue for your main linens and even for your girls' dresses. This way you can use the various shades of purple for accents like flowers, favors, and stationary. Of course it is your vision and any of these colours would make beautiful linens.

{Stationary}

All of these colours would make beautiful stationary and the more colours that you use, the more pretty they will become. Because of the romantic nature of the colour palette, using script fonts would be an excellent choice.

{Desserts}

Oh my gosh, you all know how much I love this part! For your cakes or cupcakes you can really use any and all of the colours in the this palette. However, if you're looking for something to give them that extra something special, why not try a red velvet cake? This type of cake is not only delicious, but it gives your cake a nice purply-red colour, perfect for this palette!

Don't forget to cast your vote for next week's colour scheme and I hope to receive your nominations for the New Year's Top 5 Wedding Movie Countdown ... you never know, your favourite just might be #1!
