A figure hugging strapless fit and flare wedding dress with pink and green embroidered details by Lazaro is accented by an elegant halter necked bridesmaid dress also by Lazaro.  When the guests arrive and find the clean lines with popping pastel floral accents, there is no argument that this wedding is all about soft elegance.  The tables are draped in white linens and are topped with floral centerpieces in white and petal pink.  Overhead, the ceiling is decorated with pink and green paper lanterns that work as beautiful pops of colour during the day but also offer soft ambient lighting at night.  Keeping true to their chosen colour theme, the couple serves the guests pink champagne as they indulge in deliciously iced pink and green cupcakes.

{Table Top Tuesday} Pink & Green

Okay, I am sooo ready for Spring to come!  That's why I'm starting the first {Table Top Tuesday} in March off with this bright and fun colour combination.  The beauty of this combination is that it works no matter what shade you want to use, from soft pastels to bright saturated shades.  So, let's take a look at some great inspirations!

{Decorations & Table Settings}

I love the idea of using pink paper lanterns or floral pomanders as ceremony and reception decor!  They can be pretty in soft petal pink or fun in bright fuschia!

Want a fun decor item?  Green apples can be used in centerpieces, decor, and cakes to create a unique look!  Want something a little more classic and sophisticated?  Try pretty table overlays with delicate embroidered details.

{Stationery}
The Pink & Green colour combination really gives you room to play around with different design elements.  It lends itself to traditional floral and filigree designs, as well as, more modern elements like polka dots and checkers.

{Dessert}
Here are some fantastic cake, cupcake, and macaroon designs that really work well with the Pink & Green colour combination.  Have fun with it, it's dessert!

{Table Top Thursday} Destination Hawaii!

It's {Table Top Thursday}, Hawaiian style! Even if you can't afford to make the trip to Hawaiian for a classic beach wedding, you can still create a fantastic Hawaiian themed wedding right at home.  Be sure to use bright and tropical colours and pretty flowers to set the mood.  Then use your own personal touches that makes you feel like you really could be in Hawaii, even if you aren't!  Let's check out these great inspirations!

{Decorations & Centerpieces}
Most wedding services in Hawaii will have lots of beautiful decorations for you to use, but you can recreate these looks at home if you can't afford the trip.  Use lots of colourful tropical flowers like hibiscus, lilies, and plumeria and pair them with colourful chair covers or hanging decorations.  Make little additions like pineapples, bowls of leis, or even tiki statues to really give your wedding the Hawaiian feel.

{Stationary & Favors}
Your stationary and favors should really fit with your Hawaiian style.  If you've chosen to decorate with pretty flowers, carry that through into your stationary.  Do the same if you've chosen to go with pineapples or tikis.  For favor ideas consider beachy items like flip flops and hand fans or items that will remind guests about the great time they had at your wedding like local sand or tropical drink mixes.

{Desserts & Drinks}
Use tropical flowers like plumeria and hibiscus to decorate your Hawaiian cake and cupcakes or go all out and make a tiki or volcano masterpiece!  If you want to try something unique, have a coconut flavoured cake or cover your cake in delicious roasted coconut!  Serve delicious and fruity tropical drinks like Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, and Blue Hawaiian in coconut shells for a fun signature drink.

{Table Top Tuesday} Pink & Silver

Good afternoon everyone and welcome back for the first {Table Top Tuesday} of 2010!
This week we will be looking at the fantastic colour combination of Pink & Silver. I used this colour combination as an option for the December poll. However, it really can be used for any time of the year, it simply depends on how you use each colour and what is available to you! It is a softer palette that is more modern and sophisticated simply by using a metallic neutral colour rather than a more familiar neutral like white, ivory, black, brown, or navy blue. Let's take a look some great ways that this palette can work together to give you a very memorable wedding!

{Table Settings & Decorations}
Personally, I don't know that many silver flowers. So, if you're looking for the best look that is the easiest to achieve, I would recommend using silver or metallic grey linens and decorations for your tables and ceremony while using pink accents. This makes a great visual contrast and makes the silver pop!

{Stationary}
For your stationary, you really can go either way, it simply depends on your personal preferences. Hand tied pink ribbons or bows make great accents to invitations, as do silver brooches and buckles.

{Desserts}
Pink and silver deliciousness! Candies, macaroons, cupcakes, and cake! Enjoy.

Check out {What to Wear Wednesday} in Pink & Silver tomorrow and be sure to cast your vote for next week's colour combination before it's too late!
