A mermaid fit dress with silver ribbon and lace bolero accent by Jim Hjelm is paired with a simple silver bridesmaid dress with ruched bust. This wedding uses a silver and pink peony theme so the guests receive invitations with hand printed pink peonies to announce the special day. The ceremony and reception use uniquely painted silver chiavari chairs with silver and pink linens. The tables are decorated with beautiful "wish tree" centerpieces that give the guests that chance to wish the happy couple good luck with their new life together. The guests indulge in a beautiful three tiered cake that is topped with peonies in several shades of pink. At the end of the night, no one disagrees that this wedding is breathtaking.

{Floral Friday} Pink & Silver

Good evening everyone. I apologize once again for the late post, but better late than never!
This wee is all about a Pink & Silver colour combination. Now it is hard to come by a silver coloured flower. So, on the negative side, this leaves you with very little options about your flower colour choice (of course, for you brides that are having a hard time making decisions, this could also be a positive). However, on the positive side, there are dozens of flower options for you to choose from to fit your personal style. Of course roses are classic and not only add elegance to any floral arrangement, but they also are available in multiple shades of pink. However, for spring or summer why not try something more unique like peonies, tulips, or orchids? Let's take a look at some floral inspirations in several different shades of pink that are perfect for this colour combination!

{Bouquets}
Like I said above, it is most likely that you will choose to use pink flowers for this colour combination. However, that doesn't mean that you can't utilize silver accents that will not only help your flowers fit your colour scheme but will also give them the personal touch. Ribbons or bows are great for this, plus they help hold your bouquets in place. You could also try adding picks with silver coloured stones, beads, or twigs. If you are opting to use this colour combination for a winter wedding, here is where you can add silver coloured berries, pinecones, or leaves. Don't be afraid to mix things up to help create your unique look!

{What to Wear Wednesday} Pink & Silver

Good afternoon everyone!
I apologize for the late post, but yet again I have fallen victim to life! BUT I'm back with a vengence on this late {What to Wear Wednesday} post!
This week we are looking at a fabulous Pink & Silver colour combination and I have to say that everything that I've come across so far has just gotten me more and more excited about it! Let's take a looking at some inspiring fashions for this one of a kind wedding colour combination!

{Jewelry & Accessories}
Your jewelry and accessories are like the icing on your cake and they really polish off your and your girls' overall look. Be sure to consider shoes, jewelry, purses, hair pieces, and even make up choices that really compliment your day!

Pink pearl earrings by etsy seller linkeldesigns; pink pearl drop necklace by etsy seller herecomesthebride.

Silver clutch on left by etsy seller perebags; silver clutch on right by etsy seller thesocialseam.

{Bridesmaid Dresses}
For your girls' dresses you can choose to go with either silver or pink, they are both equally nice. I would recommend though that if you choose to go with silver dresses, that you also opt for a shorter length rather than a full length dress. Metallics can be a bit overwhelming in a full length dress, so a shorter dress will keep your wedding from committing a crime against fashion! Also, pretty pink bouquets look STUNNING against silver dresses ... just saying :)

{Table Top Tuesday} Pink & Silver

Good afternoon everyone and welcome back for the first {Table Top Tuesday} of 2010!
This week we will be looking at the fantastic colour combination of Pink & Silver. I used this colour combination as an option for the December poll. However, it really can be used for any time of the year, it simply depends on how you use each colour and what is available to you! It is a softer palette that is more modern and sophisticated simply by using a metallic neutral colour rather than a more familiar neutral like white, ivory, black, brown, or navy blue. Let's take a look some great ways that this palette can work together to give you a very memorable wedding!

{Table Settings & Decorations}
Personally, I don't know that many silver flowers. So, if you're looking for the best look that is the easiest to achieve, I would recommend using silver or metallic grey linens and decorations for your tables and ceremony while using pink accents. This makes a great visual contrast and makes the silver pop!

{Stationary}
For your stationary, you really can go either way, it simply depends on your personal preferences. Hand tied pink ribbons or bows make great accents to invitations, as do silver brooches and buckles.

{Desserts}
Pink and silver deliciousness! Candies, macaroons, cupcakes, and cake! Enjoy.

A wintery a-line bridal gown with sweetheart neckline and organz overlay by Alvina Valenta is accented by a grey bridesmaid dress with vintage inspired styling. Long before these wintery nuptials take place, the guests receive unique silver scroll invitations that are hand tied with a grey ribbon. The day of the wedding is a winter wonderland, as the tables are elegantly draped with white and silver linens with snowflake accents. The flowers are a classic shade white but are transformed with crystal, silver, and pinecone additions. The guests marvel at a beautiful cake with three offset tiers that is decorated with snowy sugar pinecones. No one will soon forget this winter wedding!

{Weekend Wedding} Light Blue, Silver, & White

Good afternoon everyone and welcome a {Weekend Wedding} in Light Blue, Silver, & White!

An elegant strapless dress with silver accents and finished with a white cardigan by Priscilla of Boston is complimented by a light blue dress with darker blue ribbon by Alfred Angelo. Guests of this wintery wedding received beautiful light blue and silver invitations that set the tone for the wintery nuptials long before the vows were exchanged. The tables are decorated in light blue with silver and crystal accents. Snowflakes and snowy pinecones are an added wintery touch to the whole occasion. While enjoying the snowy view from the window, the guests are warmed by deliciously flavoured coffees and hot chocolate and indulge in icey looking cupcakes. At the end of the evening, everyone is sent home with candied marshmellows to enjoy.

{It's the Little Touches ...}

You'll be sure to turn heads in an elegant wrap that truly exudes the wintery feel of a holiday wedding.

These little place cards are a great project for the DIY bride. Paint some pinecones (try scented for the extra wow factor) with silver or white paint and add glitter for a bit of sparkle. Top it all off with with hand written label. These even make great favours simply by adding personalized tags.

Frosted cookies, white marshmellows, or candies make a great favor for this palette when placed in a clear or silver box that is finished off with a hand tied ribbon.

I have something special in store for you all next week, so be sure to check in often!
