{What to Wear Wednesday} Destination Hawaii!

Good evening everyone and welcome to {What to Wear Wednesday}  Destination Hawaii!
This week is all about Hawaiian Destination and Hawaiian themed weddings!  Any wedding in Hawaii should definitely evoke the feel of the sun, the sand, and the water that brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to its shores every year.  Let's take a look at some fabulous Hawaiian inspirations!

{Hair & Accessories}
What can I say?  The look of a Hawaiian wahine is not complete without FLOWERS!

Don't forget your leis!

{Bridesmaids' Dresses}
For a Hawaiian or a Hawaiian themed wedding you and your girls should really get into the spirit!  A floral print, which is not always a favourite for bridesmaids dresses, really works with this theme.  Play around with different patterns and even different colours to make each girl's look unique!

All three dresses from Whirlingturban.

Tired of seeing bridesmaids wearing the same colour?  Want something more unique?  Try the same dress with FOUR different colour options!  The flowing silhouette and the floral print of these dresses by Davids Bridal are perfect for a beachy Hawaiian wedding.

{Groom's & Groomsmen Attire}
Let's face it, Hawaii is HOT!  So, for your Hawaiian groom and his groomsmen, ditch the stuffy and sweaty suit jackets and go casual.  Simple short-sleeved button up shirts in solid colours or floral patterns paired with sleek pants in tan or khaki beat the heat AND look fantastic!  Or, if you still want the sophistication of a suit, opt for comfy breathable fabrics like cotton or linen and cool colours like tan, white, or beige.

Tomorrow will be {Table Top Thursday}, so be sure to check in for some Hawaiian inspirations!

A Weekend Wedding - Brown & Red

Welcome to a Weekend Wedding!

A white halter dress by Galina at David's Bridal is accented by a brown tea length halter dress by BCBG at Nordstroms and the groomsmen are in brown suits to match. The guests are invited by the delivery of gorgeous brown and ivory invitations that are accented with red poppies for a bit of flair. The ceremony takes place in a winery with beautiful stone walls that is decorated with an elegant red carpet and simple, yet classic, white chair covers with brown bows. The outdoor reception uses beautiful red roses for centerpieces and simple ivory linens to give the celebration a lighter atmosphere. And finally, as a traditional wedding cake alternative, Jamaican Rum cakes (a favourite) with brown drizzle icing are served.

It's the Little Touches ...

These simple, yet gorgeous, candles with red rose petals are a great way to both accent and light up an outdoor reception.

Aren't these favor boxes just the cutest? Perfect for a Brown and Red themed wedding AND perfect for the fall!

Turn your something blue into something red! Why not try a comb, some pins, or a clip with red flowers to finish off your perfect wedding day hairstyle?

Don't forget to stop in tomorrow for the announcement of Next Week's Theme!

What to Wear Wednesday - Purple & White

Hi everyone and welcome back for What to Wear Wednesday!
Obviously for a purple and white coloured wedding the colours for your fashions need to stick to that colour palette.
Let's take a look at some great inspiring fashions.
Enjoy!

Wedding Dresses:
For your wedding dress you definitely need to stick to white simply because if you use white for your linens/decorations/flowers and then choose an off-white dress, it would look dirty by comparison. If your feel that white is very overwhelming for you, why not try a coloured sash or detail in a shade of purple?

Bridesmaid Dresses:
For your bridesmaids' dresses, I definitely think that purple is the way to go. If everyone in your party is wearing white like yourself, then it is going to take away from the beauty of your gown! There are lots of shade options for purple. You could go with darker shades like aubergine and eggplant or you can go with lighter shades like lilac or lavender.

What to Wear Wednesday - Coffee Colours

Hello coffee lovers and welcome back for What to Wear Wednesday!
When you pick a coffee coloured wedding, your colours are mostly going to be in the browns and the taupes. So when looking for a wedding dress, I personally recommend an off-white colour like ivory, antique gold, cognac, or blush. However, if you are set on having a white dress, a great brown or taupe sash is a perfect way to tie it in with your colour palette.
When looking for bridesmaid dresses for this theme, it's obvious to stick to shades of brown. Lots of dress designers use great fabrics in colours like mocha, latte, cappuccino, and espresso - perfect inspiration for a theme like this one!
Let's take a look at some great dresses!
Enjoy!
