What to Wear Wednesday - Navy Blue & Orange

Good evening everyone and welcome back for another What to Wear Wednesday.
This week we're looking at a Navy Blue and Orange colour palette. This is a bold colour combination but the colours are classically complimentary and is beautiful for a fall wedding. Let's take a look at some inspiring fashions.

Wedding Dresses:
It's fall! So, that means it's time to put those summery strapless back on the racks. I know, I know, strapless is classic but trust me on this. Back away from the strapless dresses, take a deep breath and let's explore some fall appropriate dresses. Bateau, halter, scoop ... oh my!

Bridesmaids:
For your bridesmaids you can go with either colour for their dresses. Navy blue is beautiful and universally flattering and for the time of year oranges are warm and rich. However, it is a good thing to keep in mind that it is easier to come by orange flowers than navy flowers. So, if you're looking for a strong contrast with dresses and bouquets, orange flowers and blue dresses will make the strongest impact.
Here's a great fall trend for bridesmaids: sheer high necked and one-shouldered dresses.

DESIGNER CRUSH ALERT! Okay, so it's no secret that I LOVE Jim Hjelm, but I have yet to find another designer who can pull off beautiful dresses in orange the way that he can. Take a look and you can clearly see why this designer excites me so much!

Hope to see for Floral Friday and don't forget to cast your vote on this week's poll before it's too late!

What to Wear - Green & Orange

Hello everyone and welcome to a (late) What to Wear Wednesday!
This week is all about a fall inspired Green and Orange palette. Let's take a look at some fashionable inspirations!

Wedding Dresses:
For your wedding dress, I really think that you can go with either a white or an off-white colour since they both will look equally as nice with this colour palette. Also, if you are going with a brighter green and orange palette, you might want to try to find some accents that are more fun like a big bow or some applique flowers.

Bridesmaid Dresses:
For your girls' dresses, you can go with either of the two colours. You could even mix the two! A good thing to remember however is that orange is a colour that isn't necessarily flattering for every complexion. Another thing to keep in mind is the time of year of your wedding. Fall can be a tricky time because depending on the year it could be warm or it could be cool. Full length dresses are a good way to combat the cold, but you may be more inclined toward shorter length dress. If this is the case, you could always have your girls wear cute boleros or cardigans or even some beautifully patterned pashminas.
