A lace, halter necked, trumpet gown by Watters is accented by an a-line, strapless bridesmaid dress in plum. The unbelieveably cute mustard yellow invitations with cut-out initials set the bold and modern look for the wedding long before the vows are exchanged. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces all feature yellow button mums and succulents to give them a touch of modern fall. The guests sip on personalized purple cocktails while indulging in an alternative mustard yellow cake. At the end of the night, the guests take home memorable personalized jars of pretzels that are tied with yellow ribbons. Like anyone forget a wedding like this!

Floral Friday - Mustard Yellow & Plum Purple

Hello everyone and welcome back for another Floral Friday!
I've got to be honest with you all, because of this week's colour combination, I am completely in love with yellow flowers right now! Just take a peak at this yellow dress and tie with yellow button mum bouquet and boutonniere combo and you'll see what I mean.

Obviously purple flowers are gorgeous, too, but I personally think that this colour combination works the easiest using Plum Purple fashions and Mustard Yellow flowers. Let's take a look at some floral inspirations!

Bouquets:
These yellow roses and yellow button mums are a perfect shade for a Mustard Yellow wedding.
Here's a great, unique addition. Add succulents and dark leaves to give a simple touch of fall to yellow roses and yellow button mums.
Take a look at the simple but beautiful calla lily bouquet on the left. And on the right, a gorgeous yellow rose pomander.
The bouquet on the left is a silk bouquet, geniusely put together by etsy seller modagefloral.
The absolute best plum coloured flowers in my opinion - purple calla lillies.
Boutonnieres:

Not busy this weekend? You're invited to tomorrow's Mustard Yellow & Plum Purple wedding!
Got a sweet tooth? Don't forget to cast your vote for your favourite wedding dessert. The winner will have the starring role in Monday's Eye Candy post!

What to Wear Wednesday - Mustard Yellow & Plum Purple

Hello everyone and welcome back for another edition of What to Wear Wednesday!

Wedding Dresses:
For your dress and a colour combination like this, I really recommend going with a white wedding dress. The combination of mustard yellow and plum purple is bold and you do not want yourself to fade away into the background with an ivory or off-white dress. You want your dress and you to be just as bold and just as bright. So, go for a stunning white gown! And since this colour combination creates a modern atmosphere, you may want to find a gown in a modern cut or that has simple and modern accents.

Bridesmaids:
I truly feel that this colour combination is meant for the fall. So, keep your bridesmaids' fashions longer and warmer. If you want to (or have to) go with shorter length bridesmaids dresses, why not try accenting them with a great bolero or pashmina to keep your girls warm?

Table Top Tuesday - Mustard Yellow & Plum Purple

Good afternoon everyone and welcome back for another Table Top Tuesday!
This week we are looking at a very bold colour combination that is taken right from the fall fashion catwalks, Mustard Yellow and Plum Purple. It is a palette that is certainly meant for a couple with strong personalities and a hint of creativity. So, bear with me as we explore some exciting inspirations.

Table Settings:

Isn't the treatment of the mustard yellow napkins on the left just adorable? And the purple napkin with menu tucked inside on the right is classic.

Stationary:

The menus on the left are in a bold shade of yellow and they would really pop if accented with a beautiful dark purple flowers like purple clematis. The invitations on the right are boxed in a neutral kraft colour and will certainly set the unique tone of your wedding for your guests.

Although these escort cards are gorgeous in yellow and white, just think how perfect they would be if they were tied with beautiful plum ribbons!

I LOVE these purple photo invitations on the left! They give your invitations a modern look that is completely unique for your wedding. On the right are some simple, yet elegant, place cards that are tied in a dark purple ribbon.

Mustard yellow and plum purple! Who knew it could look so good?

Drinks & Desserts:

Lemon martinis (on the left) and mango martinis (on the right) are both cocktails that are perfect for this colour palette.

Both of these cakes use variations of white and yellow to make a floral impact.

Although the colour isn't exact, the beauty of the combination of yellow and purple is undeniable!

Stop in tomorrow for What to Wear Wednesday and don't forget to cast your vote for next Monday's eye candy poll!
