Floral Friday - Chocolate Mint

Good afternoon and welcome back for a Chocolate Mint Floral Friday!
This week we've been looking at wedding themes in Chocolate Brown and shades of Mint Green. When choosing your flowers for a theme like this you may find some difficulty since most flowers aren't available in shades of green or brown. However, this means that you can get creative! Let's look at some inspiring floral inspirations.
Enjoy!

Bouquets:

Using beautiful green and ivory roses with brown accents creates a a gorgeous bouquet. The bouquet on the right uses perfectly coloured silk flowers accented with elegant pearls.

You could also use all green bouquets of roses or succulents. White and ivory accents create an elegant bouquet.

If you don't like the look of green and brown flowers, you can also use simple white flowers wrapped with a gorgeous brown or mint coloured ribbon.

I love pomanders! They are a cute and interesting alternative to the traditional bouquet. The pomander on the left uses brown ribbon and mint green coloured tissues, and the pomander on the right uses a rich chocolate brown ribbon with green berries.

You're invited to tomorrow's Chocolate Mint Wedding! And don't forget to cast your vote for this week's poll!

What to Wear Wednesday - Chocolate Mint

Good evening everyone and welcome back for a delicious What to Wear Wednesday!
Since this week is all about a Chocolate Mint colour palette, can you guess what colours we'll be looking at today? I personally like this colour combination for fall and winter. However, it is doable for any season so just remember that when you are dress shopping that the time of year will play a part in the length and necklines of your fashions.
Let's take a look at some inspiring fashions!

Wedding Dresses:
When it comes to the colour of your dress for this theme, I truly feel that you could go with either a white or an off-white. Both will look exceptional. In terms of length and neck-line that is ultimately up to you and what is in season at the time of your wedding.

Dress on left by Mikaella; dress on right by Mon Cheri

Dress on left by Alfred Sung; dress on right Henry Roth

Dress on left to Alvina Valenta; dress on right by Jim Hjelm

Bridesmaid Dresses:
Putting your girls in a rich chocolate brown colour is classic and since brown is a neutral colour it looks flattering and beautiful on almost everyone. However, don't underestimate bridesmaid dresses in a flirty shade of green, you just might be surprised.

Table Top Tuesday - Chocolate Mint

Hello everyone and welcome to a Chocolate Mint Table Top Tuesday!

I LOOOOOVVVE this delicious colour combination! There's something soothing about the scent of mint and who doesn't love chocolate? So, why wouldn't you want this colour combination to help make your wedding a memorable one?

Let's have a look at some great inspiration for this theme! Enjoy!

Table Settings:
Linens in rich chocolate brown are not only delicious looking, but also make a beautiful alternative to simple white. Accent it with green table runners or napkins and top it all off with beautiful green rose or orchid centerpieces.

Stationary:
Let your guests feel your love for chocolate mint long before you exchange your vows. Many invitations come in combinations of brown and green, and your programs and place cards can be made to match!

Dessert:
When it comes to your Chocolate Mint desserts you have more options than you think, even if you have the taste of mint! Cakes and cupcakes can be easily decorated in chocolate and mint coloured icing. If you are a mint lover, why not serve a delicious chocolate mint cheesecake or mousse? And if you really want to think out of the wedding box, serve chocolate mint ice cream or cookies!

Tomorrow we will be looking for inspiration in some Chocolate Mint Fashions!

Hope to see you there and don't forget to cast your vote for this week's poll!
