Floral Friday - Navy Blue & Orange

Good evening and welcome back for another Floral Friday!
This week we have been looking at a Navy Blue and Orange colour palette for your wedding. Now, its pretty obvious that you will have a hard time finding real flowers in navy blue. So, if you're hoping to have flowers in navy blue then your best option is to go with silk flowers. If you're looking to have orange flowers then it will be MUCH easier because there are a wide variety of flowers that are available in orange and at different times of the year. Let's look at common types of orange flowers that are used for weddings and then have a look at some floral inspirations.

Flowers:

Orange asiatic lillies on left; orange butterfly weeds on right.

Orange tulips.

Orange roses.

Orange ranunculus.

Orange orchids.

Orange gerbera daisies.

Orange calla lillies.

Bouquets:

For your bouquets don't be afraid to mix different flowers and different shades of orange to give your bouquets more depth. If you are looking to keep to the navy blue and orange colour palette but don't want to use navy silk flowers you can add navy blue ribbon or accents against the orange flowers.

You're invited to a Weekend Wedding in Navy Blue and Orange tomorrow! Stop by and don't forget to cast your vote for this week's poll before it is too late!
