This whole week I have been focusing on a Vintage Travel theme, but just as it was with the cakes, when it comes to the flowers, there really are no boundaries! Since there is no specific colour palette that you should follow, you are pretty much free to do what you feel, although softer colours do compliment a vintage theme much better than brighter ones.
To keep your flowers feeling vintage, try classic silk bouquets and boutonnieres. Feathers, herbs, and plants are also great for harkening back to a vintage theme. Or for a more whimsical feeling, why not try a bouquet of buttons or felt flowers? There are also some great ideas that you could use if you really want to stick specifically with your travel theme. Wrapping your the stems of your bouquets in vintage postcards or stamped and hand addressed envelopes are great ways to compliment your travel theme without detracting from the the look of your flowers.
