A Weekend Wedding - Green & Orange

This elegant organza and tulle wedding dress with empire bodice and stapless neckline by Lazaro is accented by an a-line bridesmaid dress in a shade of burnt orange. There ceremony takes place outside on a beautiful fall afternoon and each aisle is decorated with a green pomander that is tied with orange ribbon. Orange ranunculi, orange calla liliess, green hydrangea, and green hellebore are found everywhere from the bridesmaids' bouquets to the reception centerpieces to the groomsmen's boutonnieres. The ceremony is decorated in bold green and orange linens with white accents. The guests sip on orange martinits while they enjoy a beaufitul fall inspired chocolate cupcake decorated with green and orange fall leaves. This week is all about a fall inspired Green and Orange palette. Let's take a look at some fashionable inspirations!

Wedding Dresses:

For your wedding dress, I really think that you can go with either a white or an off-white colour since they both will look equally as nice with this colour palette. Also, if you are going with a brighter green and orange palette, you might want to try to find some accents that are more fun like a big bow or some applique flowers.

Bridesmaid Dresses:

For your girls' dresses, you can go with either of the two colours. You could even mix the two! A good thing to remember however is that orange is a colour that isn't necessarily flattering for every complexion. Another thing to keep in mind is the time of year of your wedding. Fall can be a tricky time because depending on the year it could be warm or it could be cool. Full length dresses are a good way to combat the cold, but you may be more inclined toward shorter length dress. If this is the case, you could always have your girls wear cute boleros or cardigans or even some beautifully patterned pashminas.

As you know, this week's colour palette is brown and red but the shades that you use are entirely up to you and your own personal style. Since both a white or an ivory wedding dress would work for this colour palette, I'll be focusing mainly on the bridesmaids' fashions.

Bridesmaids:

Both red and brown are great colours for your bridesmaids' dresses since they are both pretty much universally flattering. Your girls will look and feel great in a warm shade of brown. Then again, who wouldn't thank you for a sizzling hot shade of red? Or you really could use both! Try a dress in one colour and accent it with a bow, a sash, or applique in the other!

A Weekend Wedding - Purple & White
