{A Weekend Wedding} Destination Paris!

Welcome to Parisian Themed {Weekend Wedding}!

(click image for larger view)

Welcome to Paris!  For this Parisian themed wedding, the couple has chosen a chic colour combination of grey and pink.  A fun tea length wedding dress with polka dotted overlay by an unknown designer is accented by a flowing grey bridesmaid dress with halter neck by AfterSix and grey suits for the groomsmen.  Long before the wedding vows are exchanged, the guests receive fashionable striped invitations in French.  The wedding tables are elegantly draped in pink linens and upon each table sits a miniature Eiffel tower centerpiece.  To pay hommage to the vintage French balloon women, the rooms are filled with bunches of pink balloons, which the guests released into the air.  The guests indulge in a table overflowing with French sweets and candies, and at the end of the night everyone is sent home with a miniature Eiffel tower to remember their time in this fantastic destination.

{Table Top} Destination Paris!

Good evening everyone!  My gosh I have been such a slacker this week, but never fear!  I have returned with some beautiful inspirations for a Parisian themed wedding!
As it is with your fashions, the colours that you choose to use for your Parisian themed wedding are really that important.  It is more important to create the Parisian atmosphere by using chic designs and decorations.  If you are looking for a little colour guidance, I would suggest using chic and modern colour combinations.  Try using grey as a neutral against bright and vibrant colours like yellow, blue, or pink.  Or pair chic pastels together to create a very soft look to your day.  The choice is always yours!
So, let's take a look at some great inspirations!

{Decorations, Centerpieces, & Table Settings}
Nothing says Paris like the Eiffel Tower!  Use this in your wedding as centerpieces or decorations and you will have the perfect Paris themed wedding.  Also, try adding balloons or umbrellas to your decor to give it a little Parisian pizzazz!

{Stationary & Favors}
The same goes for your invitations, stationary, and favors!  Think about things that really represent Paris, or how the idea of Paris and France makes you feel.  Try using fashionable and chic designs like stripes or filigree, then pair that with a beautiful flower, a lovely lantern, or of course the eiffel tower!

{Desserts}
The dessert of choice for a Parisian themed destination wedding is simple ... MACAROONS!  And the beauty of macaroons is that they can be made in a multitude of colours and flavours like green tea, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, lavender, chocolate, and vanilla.  You will always have a perfect match no matter which colours you choose!

{What to Wear Wednesday} Destination Paris!

Good evening and welcome to the first edition of {What to Wear Wednesday} of Destination Month!
This week we will be looking at Parisian destination weddings or Parisian themed weddings.
When you think about Paris, you think about fashion!  For a Parisian themed weddding, it isn't so much about the colours that you choose, but the silhouettes and the accents that you pick out for your fashions.  You want to be sure that you look the haute couture part.  Let's take a look at some great inspirations for a Parisian destination wedding!

{Accessories}
For your accessories, try to find cute accents that add sophistication to your fashions.  Look for little clutches, gloves, belts, or even umbrellas!

{Bridesmaids}
Look for pretty looking fabrics, modern silhouettes, and interesting details like high necks, buttons, bows, or flowers.  Also, some vintage stylings can be modernized to create a really unique and sophisticated look.
